So glad you'd like to get to know us

We are the Bröker family, and Zeeland has been our second home for many years. What started as a holiday house for our own family has grown into something bigger: we now rent out two houses — the Zeelandkrabbe in Scharendijke and the Zeelandmuschel in Brouwershaven — to guests looking for exactly what we ourselves love about this part of the world.

We chose, renovated and furnished both houses with great care — not purely as an investment, but because we want our guests to feel as at home there as we do. Every detail, from the kitchen equipment to the trampoline in the garden, comes from real experience: we know what a family needs on holiday, because we are one ourselves.

Why we do this ourselves

From the very beginning, it mattered to us that our houses wouldn't be managed anonymously through a platform. When you write to us, it's not a call centre that answers, but someone from our family who knows the houses and can honestly tell you whether your preferred dates work, where the best fishmonger in town is, or the nicest way to walk to the Grevelingenmeer.

That's exactly why we deliberately do without booking platforms and their fees: the money that would otherwise go to a platform, we'd rather put into maintaining the houses — and you pay a fair, direct price.
